The 4th Annual Purple Runway Fashion Show Brings Philanthropy to the Catwalk
2018 Premiere Fashion Event Raising Awareness for Domestic Violence Survivors
Arlington, VA, Sept. 26, 2018 -- October 21, 2018 is the 4th installment of Purple Runway, a fashion show extravaganza and fundraiser for victims of domestic and intimate partner violence. This year the event will be held at Mercedes-Benz of Arlington with doors to open for Special Guest at 6:30 PM. VIP guests are invited to enjoy the Cocktail Party from 5:00-6:30 PM.
Purple Runway is more than a fashion show, it stands as a platform for education and advocacy for those who have overcome violence as survivors, thrivers, and conquerors. On average, nearly 20 people per minute fall victim to physical violence by an intimate partner in the U.S.; this type of violence accounts for 15% of all violent crime.
Philanthropic organizations: The Women’s Center in Vienna, VA and Women Giving Back in Loudoun County of VA, are being recognized at the event for their work for survivors near and far. Mercedes-Benz of Arlington, Roche Salon and Spa, and Home of Your Dreamz, all are prominent businesses in the D.C. Metro area, and have signed on as sponsors.
iSynchrony, individualized Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (iTMS) treatment providers, also joins Purple Runway as a partner for two treatments to help others live a happier and healthier life. iTMS is a non-invasive procedure used to treat trauma; in this case, trauma created by enduring violence. Together with Global Stress Initiative, we aim to raise additional support for more men, women, and children survivors who could receive this proven transformational treatment not covered by insurance.
Marvette Cofield and Eric Bumgardner of Home of Your Dreamz LLC are title sponsors for Purple Runway 2018. This remarkable company turns searching for a new home or selling your current home into a joyful experience. Instead of shuffling through the minutiae of real estate yourself, the Home of Your Dreamz team allows you to focus on envisioning the next chapter of your life.
Attendees of the October 21st runway show will enjoy top-notch fashion from local and international designers as well as a silent auction with a cruise around Spain as one of the featured auction items.
“We are gathering on behalf of men, women, and children who have successfully overcome trauma, while we stand in the gap for those still in the struggle and inspire all to live happier, healthier lives.” says Purple Runway founder and CEO of Kamisol Style Consultancy Inc., Gigi McMillan.
